Sasha Jenson was raised by film stars

Born on the 12th of January 1964, Sasha Jenson was welcomed into the family of Canadian-American actor and stuntman Roy Jenson and Serbian film actress Marina Petrova. His mother retired from acting following her marriage to his father and dedicated herself to raising Sasha and building up their family. Sasha attended North Hollywood High School alongside Adam Carolla.

Though his parents are not film royalties, their careers in the entertainment industry must have influenced his choices. His mother is remembered for her performances in West German productions of the 1950s and 1960s and one of her popular works is Das Nachtlokal Zum Silbermond. Sasha’s father, on the other hand, passed on in 2007 but before he died, he made several TV appearances in shows like Star Trek, Daniel Boone, and Kung Fu. Roy also served in the United States Navy.

He made his acting debut in 1986 but achieved fame in 1993 on Dazed and Confused

Sasha Jenson’s venture into acting and stunt work must have come naturally for him, considering the fact that this was exactly what he grew up watching his parents do. He appeared in his first film, Free Ride (1986) at age 22 and continued to work in small supporting roles before he landed the role of “Don Dawson” in Richard Linklater’s knowing chronicle of mid-1970s teen life – Dazed and Confused (1993). As “Dazed”‘s Don, Sasha Jenson was an incoming high school senior more concerned with girls, football, and pot than planning for the life ahead of him. Like most of the other cast members, his role got him a whole lot of attention but unlike others who went ahead to become a big deal, Sasha’s acting career seems to have fizzled out before it really started.

This isn’t to say that he was a bad actor or stopped getting roles after Dazed and Confused. His acting gigs after then just appeared to have been made up of small supporting roles both in television and films. This continued until he could not land any more roles.

Some of his other notable projects include “Deadly Stranger”, “Ghoulies II,” “Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers”, “The Last Prom” (all in1988), “Deadly Weapon”, “Teen Angel” (both 1989). He featured as ‘Grueller’ in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (1992). His television appearances have included small parts in the TV movie “Moving Target” (NBC, 1988) and an “ABC Afterschool Special” installment entitled “Just Tipsy, Honey” (ABC, 1989). He featured in the NYPD Blue episode “Burnin’ Love” (1996) as Johnny Arcotti.

Sasha had a role in Dead Girl (1996), The Adventures of Rug Raymond (2001) where he featured as Rug Raymond, Venice Beach (2001), A Little Crazy (2003), Grind (2003), The Grind (2010), The Dopler Effect (TV Series – 2011) and his last recent movie Trust Me (2013) where he featured as Pat.

From all indications, Sasha Jenson hasn’t officially retired from his acting career and that is a simple fact. He has not made any such announcement that concludes he is retiring so we won’t make that decision for him.

Even though he hasn’t been in any film since 2013, we won’t be surprised if he appears in another film in the future. he is hardly present on social media which makes it hard to know what he has been up to lately.

Family life of Sasha Jenson

Despite having spent the greater part of his life in the limelight,  Sasha Jenson has been unusually quiet about his private and family life. In short, it appears to all that he Is neither married nor has a family of his own. Even though he hasn’t really said much about his family, he appears to be the father of two gorgeous girls who are now all grown. Many of his followers have also praised him for aging backward, teasing him about the fountain of youth he drinks from.

Sasha Jenson appears to be living his best life and enjoying every bit of it. He lost his dad – Roy Jenson to cancer in 2007 when he was aged 80. His mother – Marina Petrova is still very much alive and celebrated her 89th birthday in 2020. Sasha Jenson shared a throwback picture (displayed above) of him as a kid and his mom as a stunner in a two-piece bikini to commemorate her 88th birthday in 2020.

Since Sasha has ‘writer’ in his resume, he might be busy in that department and needed some time off the spotlight. Whatever the case may be, coming back to acting after such a long hiatus might be difficult, especially at his age.
