The television series Batwoman premiered on a Sunday, the 6th of October 2019 on CW11 Seattle at exactly 8 p.m. Created by Caroline Dries and Greg Berlanti, the series came with a stellar cast, including the likes of Ruby Rose as Kate Kane and Batwoman, Camrus Johnson playing Luke Fox, and Rachel Skarsten as Alice. It also features Nicole Kang as Mary Hamilton, Meagan Tandy playing Sophie Moore, Dougray Scott portraying Jacob Kane, and of course, Elizabeth Anweis who appeared as Kate Kane’s step mum Catherine Hamilton-Kane. The production credit for the series goes to Geoff Johns, Greg Rucka, Grant Morrison, Keith Giffen, and Mark Waid.

In the series, Anweis made appearances in a total of nine episodes; she first appeared in the pilot episode in 2019, essaying the role of Catherine Hamilton-Kane. Her character was featured in additional eight episodes which include The Rabbit Hole, Down Down Down, Who Are You? Mine Is a Long and a Sad Tale. Her presence was also evident in I’ll Be Judge, I’ll Be Jury, Tell Me the Truth, and A Mad Tea Party.  All these were her 2018 roles, but in 2019, she was seen in the episode Take Your Choice.

The series where Kate Kane’s character Batwoman seeks justice for Gotham City is still ongoing and Anweis may still be featured in other episodes. The year 2010 saw Elizabeth Anweis on the set of the short movie named The Absence, she was also spotted in Justify within the same year. 2011 was when she joined two television series Law & Order: LA and Hung as Kim Ho Lee and Livonia Yeller respectively. Her production credits in 2012 were three – Southland, Rizzoli & Isles (both TV series), and Love at First Heist – a short movie. In 2013, the prolific actress was cast in a couple of television series Grey’s Anatomy as Brie and Parks and Recreation as Mary-Marie.

2014 was another prolific year with three production credits, including a guest appearance in The Young and the Restless where she was seen as a nurse, Elizabeth was also a nurse in Pretty Little Liars, and depicted the character of Anna in Some Kind of Beautiful.

Her 2015 role was recorded on the set of The Shattering and in 2016, she essayed the character of a real estate agent in the series popularly known as The Fosters. Before the year ran out, the actress appeared in the short movie Emotional State which made her a nominee for Festival Award in the Best Lead Actress category. Twin Peaks television series marked one of her best-known roles to date. The series created by Mark Frost and David Lynch had prominent roles filled by Hollywood greats like Kyle MacLachlan, Michael Horse, and Sheryl Lee; Elizabeth was cast as Abbie.

Elizabeth Anweis’ role as Jia Connolly in The Assassin’s Code manifested in 2018. The movie which came from the directorial portfolio of David A. Armstrong centers on Detective Michael Connelly and Rookie Cleveland who struggle to come out of the shadows of their dead father. The film has a stellar cast, including stars like Justin Chatwin, Peter Stormare, and Mark Thompson, and the writing credit goes to Edward Lee Cornett and Valerie Grant. Even with her role in The Assassin’s Code in 2018, Elizabeth still made three other appearances in The Affair, 9-1-1, and NCIS: Los Angeles, all TV series.

As earlier mentioned, her role in Batwoman started in 2019 and ran into 2020, since then, the actress has recorded other appearances. First, she was seen in the Westworld  TV series, playing the role of a mortician, and appeared in the short movie Ghosted as the ghost. She has one project in the post-production stage titled Zero Fucks which is expected to drop anytime soon.
