The American animated mystery comedy TV series, Gravity Falls, is a show in its own class. Created by Alex Hirsch, the plot revolves around the adventures of Mabel and her twin brother Dipper Pines. The adventurous twins are on a summer vacation with their great-uncle, Stan in a supernatural town.

The Dragon Prince has just as much magic and adventure as Gravity Falls. The series was created by Aaron Ehasz and Justin Richmond for Netflix and it premiered on 14 September 2018. Set in the fictional land of Xadia, the fantasy tale follows the adventures of Ezran and Callum who are half-brothers, and Rayla the elf. The trio is on a quest to quash a thousand-year-old feud between the magical world of Xadia and the human world while at the same time caring for Azymondias, an infant dragon prince. The magical beings draw their powers from natural elements but the interference of human forces with dark magic brings both parties onto a collision course.

2. DuckTales

DuckTales is one TV series that would leave you wishing that it never ends. Just like Gravity Falls, it has magic, adventures, and that out-of-this-world uncle figure in it. The American, Disney Television Animation series is a remake of an original version that premiered in 1987. The adventurous comedy was developed by Matt Youngberg and Francisco and is based on Uncle Scrooge by Carl Barks and DuckTales by Jymn Magon. The show premiered on 12 August 2017 on Disney XD.

DuckTales follows the adventures of Uncle Scrooge McDuck and his mischievous triplet grandnephews Louie, Huey, and Dewey in the fictitious city named Ducksburg. The triplets visit McDuck Manor courtesy of Donald Duck and are awestruck by its wonders. Having learned age-long secrets of the family, the trio is able to use these powers to bring forth important artifacts from their granduncle’s past. Their antics give the show its comic quality and often result in unplanned adventures for the family

3. She-Ra and the Princesses of Power

Here is another reboot from the 80s and it dives deep into the fantastic world of magic and adventure just like Gravity Falls. The American animated series was developed by Noelle Stevenson for Netflix. She-Ra and the Princesses of Power premiered in November 2018 on Netflix and was on air until 15th May 2020. It follows the story of Adora, the lead character who has the power to change into She-Ra. She leads a team of princesses with magical powers in a battle against Lord Hordak and his Horde.

4. Amphibia

Amphibia is another show like Gravity Falls. The TV show premiered in 2019 and has been on for three seasons. Inspired by Matt Braly’s childhood experiences, the Disney series follows the adventures of Anne Boonchuy, a Thai-American teenager who had been teleported by a mysterious music box to a rural marshland occupied by anthropomorphic creatures. At the tropical marshland, she meets a thrilling frog family, the Plantars, and is immersed in the magical world of fun and adventure.

5. The Owl House

This Disney animated fantasy-comedy series premiered in 2020 and has run for two seasons. Created by Dana Terrace, The Owl House is as magical and adventurous as Gravity Falls. It tells the story of Luz, a teenager who befriends a rebellious witch named Eda along with a little warrior known as King on a magical portal. Luz, although without magical powers is determined to become a witch and goes all out to become Eda’s apprentice.

6. Rick and Morty

Rick and Morty is an adult animated sitcom on Cartoon Network and makes for a fun and hilarious watch. Besides sharing similar themes with Gravity Falls, it is also co-created by Justin Roiland who equally voiced the lead characters. Central to the plot is a crazy scientist, Rick Sanchez, and his grandson Morty Smith who is given to anxiety but is kind. The duo spends their time between their regular life and hilarious adventures or let’s say misadventures.

7. Victor and Valentino

This awesome American series was created by Diego Molano for Cartoon Network and was released on March 30, 2019. The supernatural action-comedy pays tribute to the Hispanic heritage of its creator. It tells the story of two half-brothers on mischief-filled supernatural adventures with their grandmothers as they explore Monte Macabrew. The twists and turns in the show bring it close to Gravity Falls.

8. Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure

If you are looking for a show closely related to Gravity Falls in adventures and magic then you will love Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure. The American animated series was developed by Shane Prigmore and Chris Sonnenburg for Disney TV Animation. It is based on an original film titled Tangled, which was released in 2010. The series premiered in 2017 and aired its last episode on March 1, 2020. It follows the adventures of Rapunzel as she tries to fit into her new life as a royal in the Kingdom of Corona.
