An American actress with a few roles in different aspects of the movie industry, Jackie Debatin is mostly known for depicting the character of a stripper in the NBC hit comedy series The Office. Most of her recognized works as an actress can be found on the small screen and she has appeared in more than 30 of them since her debut in the mid-90s.

The actress who played Elizabeth the Stripper in The Office was once a farm girl. Before fame, Jackie Debatin was raised on a dairy farm located in Southern Illinois. Her birth date is October 24, 1970. She was also born on the same farm by parents whose identity is not yet known but they probably owned the farm as a family business.

She has not been sharing much about her family but an Instagram post suggests Jackie has a big sister. The post also reveals a strong bond with her mom and the rest of the family.

The actress is well-educated

Growing up on a dairy farm didn’t stop Jackie from attaining the right educational qualifications up to the tertiary level. This suggests her parents played their role well by giving her a strong educational foundation.

Her earlier educational background details have not been made public but for college, Jackie didn’t go far from home. She studied at Southern Illinois University located in Carbondale. In college, she studied Theatre and Business, both of which she put to good use after graduation. Following a required move to Los Angeles in 1992, she made her screen debut in 1995’s Separate Lives. Jackie apparently made the right move to start her career in 1992 when she relocated to Los Angeles where budding actors get the right platform to forge ahead.

A later career pursuit saw her move again, this time to New York City where she worked on a show at the time. She has since settled in the city to date.

Following a successful start in her journey to fame, Jackie continued to earn more roles, though mostly minor. In 1997, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman had her in the role of the first prostitute in one episode and that was the only project she appeared in that year on TV. The next year brought better opportunities with Jackie appearing in two episodes of Caroline in the City as Simone, as well as one episode of To Have & To Hold as Jennifer Fayhe.

The rest of the ’90s were spent on shows like Working, Pensacola: Wings of Gold, and V.I.P. From 2000 to 2002, the actress made brief appearances in popular TV shows like Friends as the Hooker, 24 as Jessica Adams, ER as Judy, The Weber Show as Stephanie, Brutally Normal as Darlene, and Grounded for Life as Melanie.

In 2003, she played three roles in one episode each of Becker as Rita, 7th Heaven as Ruby, and 10-8 where she depicted Debbie. From 2004 to 2006, Jackie continued her small roles in series like Cuts, Two and a Half Men Without a Trace, That 70s Show, Cold Case, Still Standing, and Blind Justice.

Portraying a stripper named Elizabeth on the set of The Office in 2007 introduced Jackie to a wider audience and earned her recognition. The American television star is recognized for this role and depicted in three episodes of The Office – Ben Franklin, Fun Run, and Finale as the stripper.

Aside from The Office, she also had other roles in 2007, including shows like Veronica Mars as Madame, Boston Legal as Jenna Aesop, The Unit as Agent Suzanne Lee, Life as Stephanie, and Nip/Tuck as Nancy Collins. Two episodes in Girlfriends as Selene and as Erika in Unhitched, as well as Trisha Masters in The Closer, kept her busy in 2009. While Jackie Debatin’s movies and TV shows speak volumes about her success, acting is not the only career path she is interested in. In addition to the performing arts, she is also a businesswoman, implementing everything she studied in college. She founded and currently runs her own accounting firm. The firm which she launched in 1999 has branches in Los Angeles and New York City.

The location of the offices might be due to the firm’s link to the entertainment industry as it’s designed to handle entertainment and corporate financing, as well as tax consulting.

She was married to Hamilton von Watts

Debatin and actor Hamilton von Watts hooked up sometime in the mid-2000s. On 21st May in 2005, they made their union official and lived together as husband and wife for about three years before trouble disrupted the blissful union. In 2008, the couple headed for divorce on undisclosed grounds.

They have no kids between them at the time of their divorce and no drama emanated from the separation. Hamilton has since moved on to marry another woman, American actress Erin Torpey, whom he married just a year after his divorce from Debatin. They currently have two children.

Though not widely known, Jackie has also moved on with her love life and is happy with her new beau whose identity is still a mystery. She has, however, shared many pictures on Instagram where they seem head over heels in love with each other.

One of the pictures gracing her Instagram page spots a massive rock which she got when her man popped the big question. Of course, she said yes!

Though she hasn’t come out to share the identity of the man rocking her world, bits, and scraps from her Instagram page suggest his name is Tim Magnusson and he is the father of three grown sons.
