A Florida-born model, reality television star, and social media personality, Gus Smyrnios seems to be taking the reality television world by storm. The hunk made his debut appearance on the set of MTV’s Floribama Shore in 2017, but before then, he had been working as a model, recording appearances on several covers of romantic novels. Gus has also done notable work with some top-notch brands like Armani’s fragrance line. His fame has continued to spread as the model reaches out to fans through social media.

Born on the 20th of March 1995, Gus Smyrnios has his place of birth recorded as Tallahassee, Leon County in Florida, but he is a current resident of Atlanta Georgia. Obviously of American nationality, Gus’s origin is captured as Greek. On his family, the reality star told Us Weekly, in December 2017 that he doesn’t like talking about his family situation. However, we got to hear that he became homeless at the age of 17 and had to set up home with a friend who allowed him to sleep on a couch in their sitting room.

According to reports, he had a disagreement with his parents on following a career path in entertainment, resulting in the decision to leave home at a young age. However, after he proved that he can hold his own in showbiz, his family seems to be relenting and are now in closer contact with the model. At least, we know that he spends time with his mum, brother, and sister who goes by the name Leah. Though the identity of other family members remains a mystery, from the looks of their photos on social media, his family looks delighted to be reunited with the star.

He is an alumnus of Tallahassee Community College

Even though he had to cater for himself from the young age of 17, Gus never let his academics suffer for one day. The youngster continued his academic pursuit sponsored by the money he made from modeling. Before he showed up on Floribama Shore, Gus already finished studying at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida, and also passed through Aucilla Christian Academy.

In his quest for further academic qualifications, Gus joined Tallahassee Community College, where he studied criminal justice, graduating a few years later with an associate degree in that discipline. The Florida native still has plans to go to Florida State University for further academic pursuits.

Gus Smyrnios joined the cast of Floribama Shore in 2017

The MTV reality TV show Jersey Shore recorded remarkable success, leading the franchise to create a spin-off show titled Floribama Shore. The American reality TV series was centered on eight youngsters spending their summer together in the Gulf Coast located at Panama City Beach. Their time on the show was spent working, bonding, and partying as they strived to live in a completely new environment.

The debut season of the show was launched in 2017 and that was when the Florida native joined the cast in the Eat, Pray, Party! episode in November 2017, marking his first appearance on a television show. There, he interacted with other cast members like Candace Rice, Aimee Hall, Jeremiah Buoni, Kortni Gilson, Nilsa Prowant, Codi Butts, and Kirk Medas.

The show’s second season premiered on the 9th of July 2018 with Gus Smyrnios still a cast member. The Tallahassee, Florida hunk really caught the eyes of viewers during his initial appearance and his fans were glad to see him return. According to reports, the show’s third seasons will be filmed in a different location, St. Petersburg to be precise as opposed to Panama Beach and it will follow Gus alongside other cast members as they live their lives.

He was also part of The Challenge: War of the Worlds reality television show

Floribama Shore is not the only reality TV show that has featured Smyrnios, the ladies’ man also showed up in The Challenge: War of the Worlds in 2019, contesting alongside other reality TV stars. The show is a successor of a couple of reality shows on MTV titled Road Rules and The Real World. Gus was really doing well on set until he was eliminated in the eighth episode, meaning that he never got to win any of the prizes.

During the show, Gus’ partner happened to be Jenna Compono – a veteran reality star who has gathered experience in other challenge shows and is best recognized for MTV’s Real World Ex-Plosion. Swakopmund, Namibia was the setting for the Challenge show, a beach resort that would have been familiar ground for Gus as his previous gigs in Floribama Shore were also situated on a beach.

In addition to reality TV, Gus also functions as a model, appearing on the cover pages of romantic novels with his shirtless, sexy, chiseled body on blatant display. Most notable among his cover page shots is the one he did for the cover of a book titled Luc as written by Jennifer L. Armentrout. It is believed that the book came to light towards the end of 2018, and according to the model, reality television star, and social media personality, the release of the book would announce him to a wider audience and possibly get him more work.

Gus has walked and worked for a lot of commercial brands. A good example is the Armani fragrance line. He has since committed his affairs in the hands of Joseph Fazio who acts as his manager.

The American reality television star is quite a dish with his fantastic body build that can be best described as athletic. The youngster carries a body mass of 72 kg, balanced on a height of 5 feet 11 inches which is approximately180.5 cm.
Perhaps Gus’ best features are those piercing baby blue eyes that never ceases to charm. His hair color is dark brown but people have described him as a dark blonde.

The Florida native sports a couple of distinctive features; his arm has this distinguishing tattoo and his toned muscles also set him apart. Gus is now married to the love of his life, Samantha, whom he has been dating for about two years. The couple tied the knot in October 2022 after getting engaged in 2021. However, they met and began dating in 2020.

Samantha has already changed her Instagram name to @samantha.smyrnios with pictures of the couple splashed all over her page. Her more than 18k followers were filled with excitement when their marriage was confirmed.
