Laurence Charlotte Leboeuf was born on December 13, 1985, under the birth sign of Sagittarius in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The actress was born into the family of Marcelle Leboeuf (Father) and Dianne Lavallee (mother). Both her parents are involved in the filmmaking business with her father working as a writer while her mother is also an actress.

Given that she was born in the French quarter of Canada, the actress belongs to the French-Canadian ethnic group. There are no available records to determine whether Laurence grew up as an only child or if she has siblings. In any case, the actress spent most of her formative years in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Her educational background progressed nicely from her time at Ecole Notre Dame de Grace Elementary school, where she had her primary education, to her time at Villa Maria High School. Soon, Laurence opted not to continue with her formal education and dropped out of high school to pursue a more in-depth acting career.

Laurence Leboeuf began her acting career just after the mid-1990s

Acting is basically a family business in the Leboeuf household which was why Laurence didn’t face much opposition from her family when she made the decision to quit school in favor of pushing through a career in acting. Her mother who was already an actress helped her hone her acting skills and she was ready when her first real opportunity for acting came along.

This chance came in 1996 and Laurence made her debut in the French-Canadian TV series, Virginie. Her role as Evelyne Boivin in the series was aptly interpreted and paved the way for the Montreal-born actress to appear in subsequent productions. Her next screen time saw her grab the role of Louise Lavigeur in the TV series Les Lavigueur.

The actress who was gradually getting her feet wet in the acting scene was starting to get more film roles compared to the TV series roles she was getting. It took her nearly a decade to appear in her first feature-length movie. In 2006, she was contracted by the producers of A Family Secret to interpret the character Jeanne. She has graced the set of several other TV series, including Durham County, Musee Eden, and Trauma.

In 2015 she appeared as the character Apple in the movie Turbo Kid. Turbo Kid helped to put Laurence more into the mind and consciousness of the movie world and change the landscape of her career for the better. Before the end of the decade beginning in 2010, Laurence Lebouef made a lot of appearances in a host of movies and TV series, including Transplant and En Tout Cas as Magalie Leblanc and Alexandra Bouchard respectively.
