Dilan Gwyn is a Swedish actress who is best known for her brilliant interpretation of the character Willa Frost, in the Adam Nussdorf, American Drama Freedom series, Beyond.

Early life and family background
Dilan Gwyn was born on June 4, 1987, under the zodiac sign Gemini, in Stockholm, Sweden. Her birth in Sweden makes her a citizen of the country. The identity of her parents is limited to the fact that her father, Orhan Kotan, was a Kurdish writer and political/human rights activist who died when she was 11 years old.
Dilan, whose parents were political refugees from Turkey, has mixed ethnicity. She has Circassian, Greek, Kurdish, Turkish, and Armenian heritage. She grew up in Stockholm, Sweden with her mother, whose identity is unknown and whom Dilan describes as her biggest role model, and 2 older, fraternal twin sisters. Dilan’s sisters are 13 years older than she is, making her the youngest of 3 siblings.
Dilan Gwyn is an alum of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA)
Records of her early school years such as her pre-school and middle school are not available. Also, details of where or when she attended high school is not available to the public. However, the years that followed her basic formal education have been properly documented.
There was a brief spell in Paris, after high school, where she studied French at the University of Sorbonne in Paris. She eventually returned home to Sweden to attend Stockholm University where she graduated with a degree in film. To further boost her educational profile, she left home again, this time for the United States. She ended up attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA), where she graduated with a degree in Performing Arts. The two-year conservatory program required Dilan to run the first year of the program in the Los Angeles campus of the Academy before completing the program at the parent campus in Manhattan (New York City).
Dilan Gwyn began her acting career in 2007
Growing up, the Swedish actress showed a lot of interest in acting. She also exhibited quite a lot of acting abilities, hence, her decision to pursue acting as a career. Her educational route was already an indication that she was seriously considering becoming an actress.
All her hard work soon started paying off even before she left Sweden and went on to graduate from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA), in 2010. In fact, in 2007, she appeared as an unnamed character in the short film, Workshopen (2007). This movie officially became her first movie credit. She obviously impressed a lot of movie producers because her next movie role came the very next year as she portrayed the role of The Friend in the 2008 Swedish movie, Angels In The Snow (2008).
Her arrival in the US and subsequent decision to enroll in the AADA were all a calculated attempt to garner more recognition and opportunities in the more advanced US movie industry, Hollywood. It didn’t take long for the American movie lovers to get a first look at the Swedish actress in the 2011 movie, The Delivery, where she played the character, Young Ruth. The same year, she appeared as Vanessa in the romantic comedy, Black Coffee.
Before 2014, Dilan had appeared in quite a respectable number of Hollywood productions, including Dracula Untold (2014). At this point, she had also made the decision to expand her career to television series, as well and in 2014, she got a first taste of what it was like in the series, Da Vinci’s Demons (2014). The decision to expand into television proved to be an inspired one as she would bag the role that essentially became her calling card in the industry. She was contracted to play the role of Willa Frost in the drama series, Beyond (2016-2018).
Her role as Elsa in the Swedish TV series, Love Me, saw a brief return home from the actress. Her acting abilities have been well exhibited to her adoring fans in several other movies and television series since her first foray into acting over a decade ago.
Not one to shy away from a challenge, Dilan has also lent her voice to games productions such as A Way Out (2018). The actress has also received several nominations for her movie and television roles and she most notably won the Best Actress Award for her role as Marian in Jan Inberg’s science fiction film K7 at the Haunted Horror Film Festival in Georgia and North Wales International Film Festival.
