Niko Guardado is an American actor and model known for his roles in Disney and Nickelodeon projects. You might remember him as Rubén Amaro Jr. on The Goldbergs or Beto Acosta in his new show Party of Five, the reboot of the 1994 drama where he plays one of the four children, but Niko Guardado has been in many movies and TV shows. Eddie Guardado played in the Minnesota Twins team in the late 1990s and during his time with the side, he and his teammates broke the losing jinx, earning the name “The Team That Saved Baseball.” He also played for Cincinnati Reds and the Seattle Mariners.

When he is not acting on set, you might catch Niko rendering non-profit services at The Eddie Guardado Foundation. The non-profit 501(c) (3) was launched by his parents Eddie and Lisa Guardado with an aim to raise awareness of autism.

Apparently, the family raised an autistic child, Ava, who was diagnosed with the condition at the age of two. This prompted the passion they put into creating awareness to help other children born with the condition, as well as sensitize the families who have to raise such children.
