Janet Lupo is a New jersey-born nude model best known for being among the largest breasted models of Playboy. The American woman kick-started her career as far back as 1975 and worked with the yellow press for several years before deciding to go into real estate. She died at the age of 67 survived by her husband, son, parents, and siblings.

Janet Lupo’s full name at birth was Janet Paula Lupo, the blonde bombshell was born on the 26th of January 1950 and her place of birth is in Hoboken, New Jersey. It goes without saying that Janet is an American by nationality and her ethnicity is Caucasian.
Janet was the daughter of Giuseppe Lupo and his wife, Pauline Lupo (nee O’Donnell) but their respective professions were never captured by sources. The centerfold model grew up alongside three siblings – John P. Lupo (brother), Joseph A. Lupo (brother), and a sister named Margaret “Margie” Terrigno.
Lupo achieved her early academic qualifications from Hoboken High School and the quest for higher education took her to the Hackensack, New Jersey-based Parisian Beauty Academy where she majored in cosmetology.
She started her career as a nude model
Janet Lupo became a Playboy Bunny in April 1974 at Playboy’s McAfee, New Jersey-based Great Gorge Resort hotel. A few months down the line, several photographers approached her to pose for their Playboy’s Playmate of the Month. Though she rejected their offers at the initial stage, Lupo later had a rethink and decided to give it a shot.
Thus, when photographer Pompeo Posar eventually approached her with another opportunity to pose for the November Playmate of the Month in March 1975, she quickly agreed; Janet was 25 at the time.
Though her family didn’t wholly buy the idea of their daughter posing nude, Lupo wasted no time in promoting Playboy as she traveled around the US, Japan, and Canada.
Janet Lupo later left the Playboy business but she made a comeback in the early 1980s to pose for several Playmate reunion pictorials. She staged another comeback in 1998 at 48, creating her personal website where she resumed nude posing.
Much later, she recorded a couple of appearances at Glamourcon conventions – one in Chicago Illinois, and the other in Los Angeles.
Away from modeling
In between her modeling work for Playboy, Janet Lupo functioned as a bartender in a restaurant owned by her friend’s husband.
She went back to her hometown New Jersey in 1981 to procure a real estate license; she also worked with the property company, Liberty Realtors on Washington Street as its real estate sales representative at their Hoboken office – a position she held for over twenty years.
Janet went back to her cosmetology profession in 1986, launching her own business under the name, Fountain of Youth Body Oil

The nude model was married with a son
Fans were never intimated with details of Janet Lupo’s personal life but after her death, funeral announcements revealed that she was survived by her husband who goes by the name Tony. Details of their wedding and married life have never been disclosed. However, it has always been known that she gave birth to a son, Joseph P. Lupo. Joseph was born on the 20th of August, 1986.

During the latter part of her life, the nude model Janet Lupo was secretly battling cancer. She was on admission at the Jersey City Medical Center located in Jersey City, New Jersey when she passed on. Her death occurred on the 13th of November 2017.
Janet predeceased both her parents who were alive to mourn their daughter and she was also survived by her only son, Joseph P. Lupo, her husband simply known as Tony, and her siblings Margaret “Margie” Terrigno and John P. Lupo. Her last tweet on Twitter was a posthumous birthday wish for her brother Joe.
Her funeral mass was held nine days later at St. Francis RC Church, Hoboken, on the 22nd of November. She was entombed at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington, New Jersey. The family held visitations at the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home located at 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken; this happened on Tuesday the 21st of November from 3 PM to 9 PM.
