Filip Geljo is a Canadian-Filipino actor known for his role in Odd Squad (2014) and Odd Squad: The Movie (2016). Odd Squad fans will always love Agent Otto’s amazing skills when it comes to solving mathematical problems but what many of the children’s series followers don’t know is that Filip Geljo, who plays Agent Otto, is also good at maths. Jasmin Geljo, a Bosnian-Canadian actor, welcomed his son Filip Geljo on April 13, 2002. The young actor was born in the city of Toronto, Canada, but the identity of his mother is not yet known. The actor grew up in his hometown in a home that values privacy a lot. Therefore, his early life details are not public knowledge.

For his education, Geljo was mostly homeschooled, according to available records on his background. This is probably due to his early interest in the performing arts. Although Filip Geljo is widely known for his role in the children’s series, he appeared in other projects before he joined the cast of Odd Squad in 2014. The first recorded project in his repertoire is the film titled The Last Chance where he played Lee in 2014, the same year he began appearing as Agent Otto in Odd Squad. His time on the TV show lasted from 2014 to 2016 during which he appeared in 41 episodes.

With the attention the children’s live-action series attracted, the stars were propelled to prominence and the franchise went ahead to create Odd Squad: The Movie. Released on August 1, 2016, Filip reprised his role as Otto in the movie which has J.J. Johnson as the director. This further shot his fame over the roof and with that fame came more recognition and acting roles. He appeared in one episode of Annedroids in 2016 before landing his next big break in the upcoming sequels of the Avatar movie franchise – Avatar 2 (2022), Avatar 3 (2024), and Avatar 4 (2026). Filip’s father is a Bosnian-Canadian actor born in Sarajevo, PR Bosnia-Herzegovina, FPR Yugoslavia, on September 18, 1959. He grew up in his home country and started acting there at the age of 11 with a debut appearance in Boy with a Violin. For his education, Jasmin attended the University of Sarajevo’s Academy of Dramatic Arts where he majored in Drama. While in college, he continued to land more acting roles, growing his career in the process.

In 1993, Geljo left Yugoslavia and settled in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where his career in the performing arts continued. His career has also grown to include film production. He is best known for his performances in films like Cube Zero, Land of the Dead, Assault on Precinct 13, and The Sentinel. The role he played alongside his son in The Waiting Room earned him a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Actor.
