He is a prolific actor
Struan Rodger started his acting career in cameos in 1967 by appearing in one episode of Hobson’s Choice TV series as Fred Beenstock. During the late 1960s and early 1970, Rodgers made several one-episode appearances in Coronation Street as John, The Regiment, and Armchair Theatre as Stuart Tebbs. His appearances on the small screen started improving by 1973 when he recorded 10 episodes on the set of Look and Read as Joe Norland. In 1974, he appeared in one episode of Warship as Sub-Lt. Penn. The next year, he came in as George Bernard Shaw in a single episode of The Love School and did two episodes of 2nd House as Michael Henchard in The Mayor of Casterbridge between 1973 and 1975.
In Armchair Thriller, Struan Rodger played Hassel in two episodes. He appeared as Javert’s Aide in 1978’s Les Miserables, was in one episode of Accident as Peter Morris in 1979, and showed up in Return of the Saint as Erhard. Another of his single-episode gigs was seen in Secret Army as ‘Mad’ Mike Miller. Struan Rodger did a few more cameos before scoring his big break in Four Weddings and a Funeral as The Best Man in 1994, his second best-known role was playing Sandy McGrath in Chariots of Fire. Rodger also gained a lot of popularity for appearing in Stardust as Bishop in 2007, and his 2011 role in Kill List as The Client. So far, The movie and TV actor has played over 110 roles on both the big and small screens and one of his latest production is a TV series titled, The Discovery of Witches where he came in as Dr. John Dee in 2021. He has recorded quite a good number of video games and has one music video under his belt.
