Angela Lansbury had her son Anthony with Peter Shaw who also worked in the entertainment industry as an actor, producer, and studio executive. Anthony is married to Lee Speer Webster. The duo has been married for over four decades and have three children to show for their time together as husband and wife.

Shaw is the son of renowned American stage, movie, and television movie star, Angela Lansbury. Born in London, England, on October 16th, 1925, Lansbury was a British with Irish roots. However, she relocated to the United States at a young age and later became an award-winning American-British-Irish actress. She died on October 11, 2022, at the grand age of 96.

Shaw’s father Peter Shaw is also English and equally worked in the entertainment industry as an actor, producer, and studio executive. He died on January 29th, 2003. Anthony Shaw has two siblings – Deidre Shaw who co-owns an Italian restaurant named Enzo & Angela with her husband, chef Enzo Battara and stepbrother, David Shaw – his dad’s son from a previous relationship. David also works in the entertainment industry as a production manager and film producer.

Though they never belonged to any congregation, Anthony and his siblings were raised to be Episcopalian. According to the late actress, Angela, it is the belief that everybody carries the spirit of God within them and that’s why we are perfect, precious creatures.

The first production he directed was Murder, She Wrote television series (68 episodes from 1987 to 1996) While still working on Murder, She Wrote, Shaw directed the TV movie, Mrs. ‘Arris Goes to Paris in 1992.

When Murder, She Wrote was made into sequels of television movies, the Los Angeles native took on the directorial job for all five – Murder, She Wrote: South by Southwest, The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax, Murder, She Wrote: A Story to Die For, and Murder, She Wrote: The Last Free Man. Anthony Pullen Shaw made his foray into acting 1n 1977 when the English entertainer appeared in A Bridge Too Far as U.S. Captain. The same year, he joined the cast of The Spy Who Loved Me, playing, U.S.S. Wayne Crewman, and in 1979, he appeared in Cuba as Spencer.

Antony made his debut appearance in the series in 1980 when he was featured in The Martian Chronicles, depicting the character of Edward Black in three episodes. He recorded two other onscreen appearances in 1980, including North Sea Hijack as Ackerman and He Knows You’re Alone as Detective.

It is common knowledge that Anthony and Lee share three children. The American actor cum movie director became a first-time dad at the age of 31 when his first child, Peter John Shaw was born on March 30, 1983. Peter soon became a big brother to Katherine Beeson Shaw, the couple’s only daughter who joined the family on June 12, 1985. On April 19, 1989, at the age of 37, the movie director had his last child named Ian Lansbury.
